OMNI awarded James W. West Quality Improvement Award
Last night our team received the James W. West, M.D. Quality Improvement Award for our research, analysis, and reporting regarding the tracking and measurement of addiction treatment outcomes obtained during the three-year Outcomes Pilot Program with NAATP as well as the production of The NAATP Outcomes Evaluation Toolkit. The award is named in memory of Dr. West, whose personal struggle with alcohol addiction led him to develop treatments for addiction and eventually to become medical director of the nationally regarded Betty Ford Center. We are honored to accept this award and humbled to work with the NAATP members providing treatment to improve the health and lives of people with substance use disorder.
Below is the award ceremony and acceptance speech, given by Holen Hirsh, director of public and behavioral health at OMNI.
