Virginia is utilizing State Opioid Response (SOR) grant funds to respond to needs and challenges related to opioid and stimulant use disorders. Using a comprehensive, multi-pronged approach, Virginia is ensuring that SOR funds support state and local initiatives across the continuum of care, including prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery.

OMNI has worked with Virginia since 2019 to establish an extensive evaluation of the SOR grant, including capacity building and evaluation planning to ensure that the more than 40 funded subrecipients participate in the evaluation and the state is able to comprehensively report on the grant's strengths, challenges, and outcomes. The annual reports include a summary of all evaluation data collected through more than a dozen different tools from subrecipients and the Virginians they are serving.
