Tammy Tran (she/her) | Research Fellow| ttran@omni.org

Tammy Tran is a Research Fellow at OMNI, where she contributes to various projects
by offering administrative support, assisting with data collection and analysis, and
documenting the processes and action items from team and client meetings. As a
part of OMNI’s Virginia Prevention team, Tammy provides technical assistance to
community service boards that receive Substance Abuse Block Grant and State
Opioid Response funding.

Tammy graduated in the spring of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Statistics
and Data Science. Studying statistics opened options for exploring other fields and
especially the intersection of data with other areas like psychology and
environmental science. Through the OMNI fellowship Tammy hopes to use and build upon her data analysis skills in a more practical and applied setting. Furthermore,
she hopes to take the opportunity to learn from and work with experienced
researchers.

In her free time, Tammy likes to unwind with paint-by-numbers and rewatching TV
shows

I was drawn to OMNI’s commitment to diversity, especially when considering the makeup of their team to reflect better the communities they serve.
