Adult and Juvenile Justice

The OMNI Institute seeks candidates for a Researcher position with a passion for working in adult and juvenile justice reform. In this role, you will join our Adult & Juvenile Justice Division and support projects from evaluation development to client delivery. As an OMNI Researcher, you will dive deeply into your client’s needs and support all of the work across your project teams. You will manage your time and resources to deliver on critical project components. 

The successful candidate will build meaningful relationships with their teammates and effectively communicate across teams and clients. They will have a passion for asking questions and solving problems and will hold themselves to the highest standards of excellence. They will be able to disseminate research and evaluation findings into actionable and digestible strategies for clients. 

Key Qualifications   

  • A passion for solving society's most pressing social challenges, with specific interest in adult and juvenile justice reform 

  • An innate curiosity with a desire to always ask more questions, look at information from a different perspective, and question how you can make something better. 

  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing your time on complex projects with cross-team interdependencies. 

  • The ability to adapt, learn, and grow through your work; to hold your work and methods to high standards. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience working with diverse communities, colleagues, and stakeholders. 

  • Experience incorporating the perspectives of multiple communities in the consideration of the design and objectives of a decision-making process. 

  • Experience conducting research and an understanding of research design and methods. 

  • Experience considering the impacts of research and evaluation on multiple communities, including communities of color, in technical analysis. 

  • Experience with data management, analysis and reporting; experience with inferential statistics and other quantitative methods. 

Additional Qualifications 

  • An advanced degree in a relevant field; or the combination of an undergraduate degree/coursework and several years of work experience in relevant fields. 

  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, STATA) 

  • Ability to independently deliver evaluation technical assistance and training, experience supporting clients and stakeholders in an advisory or coaching capacity.
