Marketing Manager

OMNI Institute seeks a Marketing Manager with a passion for working with researchers tackling society’s most pressing challenges. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing OMNI’s marketing and brands assets, conference and speaking engagements, social media and web presence, and other areas of the marketing strategy. This position will report to the COO and work closely with the Executive Management Team (EMT) on a wide range of marketing projects to support the organization's business development and growth.

The successful candidate will build meaningful relationships with teammates across the organization, be highly resourceful and self-driven, and effectively communicate across teams, leveraging the expertise of others to achieve goals. They will have a passion for solving problems creatively and will hold themselves to a high standard of excellence. They will be a strong communicator with the ability to ask precise questions and distill basic research findings. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain OMNI's website, blog, and social media. 

  • Manage content development pipeline, working cooperatively with research team to guide content development and publication.  

  • With EMT and research team, develop relevant and timeline external communications such as press releases, blog posts, and other items.  

  • Support the research team in identifying and pitching speaking opportunities at relevant industry events, preparing pre-conference marketing plans, and supporting event attendance and supporting post-event outreach.  

  • Support proposal development pipeline and build tools and resources. 

  • Maintain and expand on OMNI’s brand assets and refine visual identity.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience managing your time on complex projects with cross-team interdependencies. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience managing upward to senior level staff and working collaboratively with peers. 

Additional Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience. 

  • Experience in b2b, consulting, professional services, research, academic, or similar professional marketing environments. 

  • Strong editing, formatting, and proofreading skills with a close attention to detail. 

  • Experience in graphic design 

  • Experience with project management or managing content development, trade show, or similar deliverable pipelines
