Director of Public & Behavioral Health
OMNI Institute seeks candidates for a Director of Public and Behavioral Health position. In this role, you will serve in a senior divisional leadership capacity, overseeing a significant portfolio of client accounts and projects in our Public and Behavioral Health (PBH) Division. We anticipate a Director of PBH will play a key role in managing some of the division’s strategic accounts and support the Vice President in business development and expansion efforts to build the division’s portfolio of work.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to individual and organizational excellence and growth and provide quality assurance across all projects in their portfolio. They will support the development of senior research staff, including consulting on the conception, execution, and communication/ dissemination of all work. They will cultivate client relationships, lead the development of grant proposals, and develop thought leadership through their work.
Deep knowledge of a relevant PBH content area is required, as well as the ability to develop and execute community-led assessment, capacity building, and research/evaluation processes. A successful candidate will build meaningful relationships with their teammates and effectively communicate across teams and clients. They will be able to disseminate research and evaluation findings into actionable and digestible strategies for clients and communities.
A passion for solving society's most pressing social challenges, with specific commitment to and interests in public and/or behavioral health.
An innate curiosity with a desire to always ask more questions, look at information from a different perspective, and question how you can make something better.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience managing your time and the time of team members on complex projects with cross-team interdependencies.
The ability to adapt, learn, and grow through your work; to hold your work and methods to high standards.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills, both written and verbal, and experience working with diverse communities, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Experience incorporating the perspectives of diverse communities and employing an equitable evaluation lens throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience conducting research and a strong understanding of research design and methods.
Experience leading and inspiring project-based teams.
Masters level training in a social science related field with considerable experience in applied research (Doctoral level training with applied experience is preferred)
Formal training in social science research methodology and statistical analysis
Applied research and evaluation experience
