Learning and Development
Groups and organizations often seek technical assistance (TA) when they need access to specialized skill sets or services to fulfill their missions and goals. TA develops the capacity of organizations to define and address challenges themselves, ultimately supporting mission achievement and progression to meet the changing needs of communities. “Managed well, technical assistance helps an organization leverage its limited resources to effectively reach new milestones.” (The Denver Foundation )
OMNI monitors the TA and training needs of local communities statewide through the Regional Prevention Services (RPS) project, administered by the Office of Behavioral Health of the Colorado Department of Human Services. The RPS Project provides dedicated training, consultation, and support to Colorado agencies, communities, and coalitions working with children, youth, and families. Some of OMNI’s TA and training services and resources may be accessed free of charge through this program.

Facilitation and strategic planning TA at state and local levels
Collaborative work can unravel when groups struggle to align work objectives and infrastructure or to institutionalize shared policy and practices. Facilitation and strategic planning TA services can provide groups with necessary momentum and decision-making processes to achieve the complicated work of coalitions and collaboratives.
Coordination for regionally-based trainings and meetings
Our regional offices provide a base for the organization of meetings including planning regionally relevant content, recruiting key participants, coordinating meeting logistics, facilitating in-depth day-long or multi-day meetings, and conducting follow up, while minimizing costly travel.
