Claire Luce (she/her) | Researcher Manager | cluce@omni.org

Claire Luce is a Researcher at OMNI and has been with the organization since 2021. Claire works on projects related to behavioral health in Virginia, Alabama, and Colorado. She provides expertise in analysis and psychometric measurement. Her independent research has focused on the mental health impacts of climate change with a focus on grief and loss. Additionally, she has direct practice and research experience that focuses on the impact that traumatic experiences have on mental and behavioral health outcomes. Working in collaboration with other researchers, Claire has developed and validated a measure of ambiguous loss and used mixed methods to explore the impact of college students’ social relationships on their mental health and school achievement.

Claire earned a Ph.D. in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin University Switzerland.

She is a member of the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) and the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
